I heard a rumor that somewhere out there, there are Orthodox men who are single and are somewhere vaguely near my age. I've heard this rumor many times, but I started to think it was just a rumor, because I have never actually met such a wonder. Is it true? I am Katie. I am a single mother of Irish descent and birth, living in the US my entire life. I was raised Baptist in a series of small southern towns, but left that faith as a teenager. When I was 25, and heavily pregnant, I converted to Orthodoxy in a small Greek Orthodox church in Mississippi. Having been single and Orthodox for six years and change, I decided to listen to a dear friend's recommendation that I join this site and see who I might meet. Apparently, there is someone out there for me. I have a simple life. I am a mother first - home schooling, working from home, going to school from home, raising my son and three rescue dogs, cooking, baking, knitting, sewing, and enjoying every minute of life. I suppose I am looking to find someone who fits well into that picture. I am hoping when I am done with school to find a position teaching college classes part-time while still focusing on home, family, and faith.
