In their own words

Seeking a marriage minded, sapiophile & renaissance man for life partner

Are we the right fit?? Are you interested in being my LIFELONG best friend and lover, playing, laughing, sharing our lives together? Are you seeking a long-term, monogamous relationship that leads to marriage? Do you take an active role in doing what it takes to make life and our relationship successful & happy? Do you have an insatiable curiosity, and have a number of interests, hobbies, and/or friends? We'll be compatible in the areas that matter--our "deal breakers." I do enjoy getting to know another person's perspective on things, whether I agree or not. I believe that those who know how to be truthful in small, insignificant things will also be truthful in all. I live my life by that--an authentic life. Are your profile pics current and have an accurate age on your profile? You will find that I’m down to earth and very approachable. A number of people (both strangers and those I know) from all different backgrounds easily tell me their life’s stories. Are you like me?…happy single, but have a craving for something more with a life partner? Are you as loyal as I am to my partner (you?)?? I am willing to relocate within the US, if you and I make a strong connection that leads to marriage. I only want to move one more time in my life, let’s make it worth it! If you’re a smoker, even socially, we won’t be a good match. I’m allergic to cigarettes and I don’t want to have to use an EPI pen each time we kiss. Taking my breath away in a literal sense is trouble. LOL

Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock, Queen Latifa, Kate Beckinsale, Wanda Sykes, Helen Mirren, Betty White, Rebel Wilson, Scarlett Johansson...and more.
Favorite Artists
VISUAL Arts: Shag, and a number of unknown artists. MUSICAL Artists: Mozart, Prince (before he was JW), MM, Elvis, Ed Sheeran, Elle King, Ke$ha, Adele, Avril Lavigne, Harry Connick, Jr., Jack Johnson, Justin Timberlake, Lana Del Rey, Lily Allen, Macklemore, Sia, Nina Simone, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Pitbull, and so many more. I enjoy a lot of variety of music…especially if it has a great beat and layers. I love music that makes me want to move—whether that be physically, or my brain or heart cells.
Favorite Authors
Rumi, Anne Rule, and countless others.
Favorite Bands
Tool, Puscifer, The Violent Femmes, Wheezer, Modest Mouse, Everclear, In This Moment, Die Antwoord, Aesthetic Perfection, MM, NIN, KoRn, The Pretty Reckless, Shinedown, Slipknot, Pitbull, Puddle of Mudd, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Green Day, and many, many more talented bands.
Favorite Hangouts
My (our?) house, friends’ or family’s homes.
Favorite Books
Non-fiction over fiction. Psychology, true stories, autobiographies, biographies, and technology. I find a lot of fiction predictable and boring.
Favorite Cities
Seattle. Punta Cana. Nashville. Or anywhere with lush vegetation with dense forests and/or tropical green/ aqua blue ocean.
Favorite Colors
Black, red, champagne gold, coral, rose gold, purple, and green.
Favorite Country
To live or to visit?
Favorite Drinks
Water, TrueLime Watermelon Limeade, ZipFizz, Starbucks refreshers, Orangina, coffee, tea…and my vice, Coke—I try to limit my intake of it, but I just love a nice, refreshing Coke over nugget ice!…especially with a meat lovers pizza.
Favorite Fashion Designers
YOU: formal: a well-tailored, all black Armani suit. Meooooow, purr, purrrrr. Casual: whatever you fancy. ME: formal or casual: whatever looks and feels good on. Spyder, North Face, Sketchers, Harley Davidson, Corral (fancy cowboy boots), Ralph Lauren, Ellen Tracy, Kate Spade, Vera Wang, Brighton, Coach, Maui Jim, and Dansko are some favorites in my closet. Really, though, anything that I think is cute, is comfortable, and makes me feel good, regardless of the designer.
Favorite Fast Foods
In all honesty, I don’t go to these places often or regularly. But if I ever do it’s street taco carts, Subway (or other soup/salad/sandwich spot), Papa Murphy’s pizza, or when I’m feeling naughty, then Del Taco, Culver’s, Chick-Fil-A, Astro Burger, or Red Robin.
Favorite Magazines
Extended. (Only a few of you will get this.) Paper/eMagazines: Costco Connection LOL I don’t usually buy or read magazines, so whatever is in the waiting room of wherever may be picked up. LOL if the waiting room had these, they would be my first choice: National Geographic, Architectural Digest, Scientific American, Good Cooks, Golf Digest, then Better Homes and Garden type magazines.
Favorite Comedies
Standup and Rom Coms (The Hangover, Tropic Thunder, Rat Race, The Holiday, Something About Mary, How to Train Your Dragon, Practical Magic, The Proposal, ...the list is too long to mention them all.)
Favorite Dramas
MOVIES: Steel Magnolias, Catch Me If You Can, The Umbrella Academy, Akeela and the Bee TV: How to Get Away With Murder, Ozarks, Battlestar Galactica (the newer one, not a fan of the older one), and some reality shows.
Favorite Horror Movies
No, thank you...I’ll pass. I like thrillers, but not horror.
Favorite Action Movies
Most of them really. Some favorites: John Wick, Underworld Trilogy, Kingsman (both), Hanna, Leverage: Redemption, and like my other answers, a TON more!
Favorite News Anchor
Ron Burgundy of Anchorman. ACTUAL news anchors? Who knows who you can trust anymore. Media has gotten so out of hand. I’d have to say the local news.
Favorite Night Clubs
Would rather not, unless it’s a special occasion celebrating a friend that really wants to be there. And if I had a preference, it would be a piano bar.
Favorite Place To Be Kissed
Any time and place that the moment hits you--within reason, of course. I enjoy PDA (holding hands and kissing, smacking your ass, and vice versa), but think serious makeout sessions belong between just you and me. As for body places??…all of them. :)
Favorite Plays
Plays, not so much. Operas: several, but mainly Mozart. Madam Butterfly left me sobbing. Ask me how my best friend got me to stop. LOL. Les Misérables. Hands down. I could watch a live performance of that anytime.
Favorite Politicians
None alive.
Favorite Sports Teams
I do not follow sports. I pick sports teams by colors or mascots. LOL Don’t hate me. LOL you’ll have to ask me why these are my favorites. The Colts. New Orleans Saints. 49ers. Seattle Seahawks.
Favorite Quote From A Movie
“As you wish.” (Can you name the movie?? I purposely didn’t name it above.)
Favorite Restaurants
In general: Persian, BBQ, steak houses, Mexican, Indian, Thai. Specific: Sadaf in LA, Cafe Sumac in SLC. Texas Roadhouse. Cheesecake Factory (although it's usually too loud inside for my taste.)
Favorite Songs At The Moment
Feeling Good by Nina Simone (Micheal Buble is good, but she OWNS that song.)
Favorite Sports
Retail therapy.
Favorite Stocks
Chicken and beef. ;) I know what this is really asking, and I stand firm on my answer. LOL
Favorite TV Comedies
Schitt's Creek, Modern Family, Golden Girls, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, ...
Favorite TV Dramas
Modern Family, Blacklist, Bridgerton, Law & Order-SVU, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Judge Judy, Hanna (really, action), Sex Education (BBC), True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Gilmore Girls, Emily in Paris
Favorite TV News Sources
Local news stations.
Favorite Foods
Fresh food made from scratch in my kitchen or yours. Indian, Thai, Persian (this really should have been listed first), Mexican (tacos and nachos!) Specific dishes: barg, ghormeh sabzi, zereshk polo morgh, sirloin, oregano chicken, lasagna, carne asada tacos, and many more. Specific foods: mango, dark chocolate, whipped cream, fresh & organic produce, crab, beef (steak or bacon cheeseburger), and more than I can list. I'm not a fan of fish or sushi, meaning I can’t eat it at all.
Favorite Styles Of Music
It depends on my mood. LOL Sometimes it’s the sweet, sweet sound of silence. I enjoy most styles of music, but favor industrial, rock, alternative, and intense flavors. Something that has a great beat and is interesting. Many times you have to assign a different meaning to the lyrics of many songs I enjoy, or you might be offended (like Marilyn Manson—I resonate with many of his songs based on the alternate meanings to the lyrics I’ve reassigned to the literal words. His music is absolutely genius, though…not like Metallica where all the songs/albums sound the same.) I also enjoy Classical and lean towards Mozart, Bach, Tchaikovsky, and Chopin over other composers.
Interests
Animals
Absolutely, I love them and they love me. I’ve been told I’m an animal whisperer. I love and have trained birds, but I’m allergic to them to the point I can’t sleep with down pillows. So that’s a bummer. I miss birds (except for the magpies and ring-neck doves in my yard.)
Barbecues
Any day of the week! Love BBQ. Love me some meat—tasty, tasty murder. (Although I enjoy many vegetarian and vegan dishes, I must have meat as part of my diet.)
Bars
Not my scene.
Board Games
Yes!
Card Games
Yes, please—but not gambling.
Children
I love them.
Circus
No thanks. Too many abused animals not intended to live in captivity.
Comedy
Always. But serious when necessary.
Cooking
Absolutely. Bonus points if you’re a good cook, also!
Dogs and Cats
They need to be indoor pets. I would never leave them outside. I have cats and used to have Dobermans. I’m more a cat person than a dog person…although my mom’s and friends’ dogs would never know it.
Drawing
Yes, please, draw me a bath. LOL nothing like a good soak in Epsom salts. I also enjoy drawing in an artistic sense, and enjoy TikToks of people with amazing talent drawing people, nature, or animals.
Electronics
Better living through technology! I’m still let down that Alexa won’t do my laundry. Maybe in 5 years.
Food
Fresh, organic and healthy most of the time.
Gambling
Not my choice. I’m not a big risk taker (I didn’t consider sky diving a risk.) However, often times I have found myself saying, “WTH not…let’s see what happens.” I used to be really good at Texas Hold’em—won a few tournaments, didn’t get invited back to my friend’s place because her husband and his buddies didn’t enjoy loosing to a girl. LOL I like playing games, but won’t spend more than I would on a night out to the movies…whether a home game or the casino. So, that doesn’t last very long at a casino and I play differently when MY real money is on the line vs. a friendly game with a low buy-in.
Gardening
Having a garden is a must. The earth laughs in flowers and brings me delight, joy, peace, and renewal (despite my allergies, which is why I enjoy flowers in the garden vs. a vase in my home.) Veggies and fruit trees are also a must! I can eat peaches, pears, and other fruit like they’re going out of style. I long to live in a place I can grow avocado, pomegranate, and citrus trees, too. Earth’s bounty is what heals and nourishes us, while giving us a very tasty journey there.
Guns
Yes, and I used to be an instructor. I’m not a “gun nut” and I have a healthy relationship with firearms.
Live Concerts
Especially with my nephew and nieces.
Math
Daily.
Medicine
Necessary evil for some things. I prefer to take a holistic approach when I can, and prefer prevention over cure.
Movies
Prefer them at home. Occasionally, going out with friends. I’m not a big fan of crowds, but a huge fan of buttered popcorn at the theater. And a bigger fan of the pause and rewind buttons on the remote.
Opera
Yes, please.
Painting
Artistic painting is fun. Painting the house isn’t as much fun. LOL
Pets
Absolutely. My match will definitely be a cat lover. I could never give up my 2 cats.
Philosophy
Life is meant to learn and experience new things, expand our mind and soul, and cherish those things that bring us joy.
Photography
I enjoy it very much. I like capturing special moments whether on my iPhone or my Canon EOS, and things that I find beautiful or interesting.
Politics
Can we get some quality people running for office, please?? If you’re overly passionate about one side or the other, we may not be a good fit. I’m pretty much a centrist/libertarian—liberal views that are governed by conservative measures (let gays marry, women abort (not a choice for me, but not stopping others)), and be fiscally responsible.
Psychology
An avid fan. I like to know how people tick and what influences individuals to behave the way that they do, and what we can do for the highest and best outcome.
Radio
I hate commercials. I enjoyed SiriusXM when I had it for that reason.
Reading
Mainly articles on the internet these days, unless it’s not available online—that’s what my library of books are for.
Religion
Not for me. I respect others and their belief systems as long as they don’t push it on me. Much like my political viewpoint—as long as you don’t impinge on my rights/viewpoint (as I wouldn’t yours) then I expect the same in return. We can disagree and still be civil and courteous to each other! Why do people get their panties in a twist and say things like believe the way I do or I can’t be friends with you. That’s insipid.
Running
If I’m running, you should, too. Because that means that something bad is chasing me and I'm out of ammo.
School
Loved it.
Shopping
Online more than anything these days.
Singing
Only if you don’t care if my singing hurts your ears and the ears of all the dogs in a 50-mile radius! LOL But I’ll belt out lyrics when in my vehicle or alone at home.
Sky Diving
Absolutely! The free fall is the best.
Snowboarding
Used to be an avid skier. Altitude gets to me nowadays.
Technology
Absolutely. A constantly evolving world that manages to make life easier.
Television
I’m not going to lie, there are a lot of programs that I enjoy on TV.
Tennis
Bracelet? Yes, please. LOL If you intend on playing with me, you must be patient. My badminton’ skills overtook my tennis abilities in a bad way. I find I hit too hard…and not exactly at the correct angle. LOL
Theater
If my friends are in it. Or if my significant other REALLY enjoys it.
Traveling
Love it. I let my passport expire during the first months of COVID. *sigh*
Video Games
Sometimes on my phone. But I’m not a gamer.
Writing
I don’t do enough of it.

Insights
Describe the perfect evening.
Enjoying the company of my love where time flies by because we enjoy each other’s company, conversation and making plans with each other for the future (whether for later that night, the next day or the coming years) that we can’t seem to fall short of things we want to share or do with each other. Doesn’t matter what or where we’re having the conversation. There will be a lot of laughter, tears, kisses, hugs, touch, playfulness and flirting with each other, and the amazing feeling that we’re with our person. And the evening doesn’t end. When we finally part, we are both looking forward to meeting up with our best friend again (each other) to actually do whatever it is mutually decided upon (because we have similar interests) and we enjoy each other’s company again. Repeat.
Describe your perfect weekend.
One where you and I don’t want to part. There will be good food, good times shared, play, great conversation filled with “perfect evenings” described above, and no desire to see the weekend end. Some weekends we stay in. Others we go and explore new or favorite things.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Love, no. Chemistry, yes.
How many kids would you like to have?
How ever many you have. I’m past childbearing years and would eagerly take in and love your children as my own. If you don’t have any children, that’s ok by me, too.
How important is someone's physical appearance to you?
Somewhat…as I’m sure it is with you. I need to be attracted to my mate. My attraction grows with the mental and emotional connection I have with my partner. If I don’t have that, then the most handsome man by most people’s standards is simply unattractive to me.
If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
Only one?? LOL To have the ability to do anything that I desired to do--fly, invisibility, move stuff with my energy, x-ray vision, ability to control weather, you name it. I would use my powers to end social biases, to end war, and enhance love and kindness. And maybe to drive the karma bus, if not to be the front row passenger. LOL I’m really not vindictive, but it would be nice to see a rotten person see their ways and correct their actions once in a while…especially when they knowingly are being mean or destructive.
What is the purpose of marriage?
Many. Legal protection. An outward display of commitment. Successful relationships are not guaranteed by marriage, but it is nice to have that commitment shown publicly--"this is my girl…I put a ring on her, and I aim to make this a successfully monogamous and loving relationship."
What is the most important lesson that you've learned?
Grace. Expecting perfection from yourself and others is futile. I still strive to be the best I can be given any circumstances, but leave space for growth and humility for when desires and wants aren’t met by needs. Sometimes the universe has different plans for you than you imagined. And many times those plans lead you to where you or the universe needs you to be.
What do your friends like about you most?
The list is long. LOL I can confidently say my generous, authentic, and non-judgemental nature, I’m not fake. I tell it as I see it (notice “as it is” isn’t used because that implies I’m the authority, although on occasion I am a subject matter expert. LOL) And I'm a bit of fun to have around. I am bound by logic in a lot of ways—I tend to be an optimistic realist if there is such a thing. LOL I think in pictures and abstractly with many things, where my intuition knows and it takes a day or two for my logical mind to catch up. I’m my own oxymoron.
What do your friends tease you about the most?
Aunt Jemima. …ask me about that. LOL it’s not what you are probably thinking. Gotta love my ADHD neurodivergent tendencies and quirks.
What gets on your nerves?
People that think they’re better than others. Racism. Arrogance (not to be confused with proven confidence—which is attractive). Narcissism. Rudeness. Bullying. Selfishness. Lack of empathy for others (human and/or animal.) Sarcasm as a way of life.
What is the most important thing in a relationship?
Is there really just one?
What's the best age to get married?
When you’re mentally and emotionally mature, and so is your partner. That isn’t the same age for everyone. I believe you need to be in similar life stages for a successful marriage, as well, and some people enter those stages at different ages.
What turns you off?
Arrogance, mistreatment of others, inconsiderateness, smoking, and drunkenness. Inability to have an open mind or consider other thoughts of reason—my way or the highway mentality. Dubious and duplicitous agendas. Using people. Actions not matching their words. Laziness (not to be confused with needing and/or having a lazy day.) No desire to act on goals/desires. Making plans and not following through. Poor hygiene—especially dirty fingernails and dental hygiene. And last, but not least, knowing my partner is not attracted to me.
What turns you on?
Love of life, an inquisitive mind…I’m a sapiophile craving another sapiophile. An ever-curious and learning mind. A sense of wonderment and appreciation. A generous and hospitable nature. Kindness. Caring. Thoughtfulness. Touch. Someone prone to smiling—I love a great smile that comes easily and without restraint. When someone that encapsulates all of the above, makes it his passion to create a beautiful and loving relationship with you…whether you’re in sweats, jeans, a well-tailored suit, or birthday suit, only then, will looks turn me on because these things make you handsome in my eyes. Someone that took the time to actually read my profile.
What do you hope to be doing five years from now?
Happily celebrating our 3-4 year wedding anniversary looking forward to many more, enjoying life together til the end. LOL ok, that’s well beyond 5 years from now.
