Empathy and connectedness

I would like to meet someone who is affectionate, loving and witty! I believe that life is indeed too short to have anything other than love and creativity. I consider a higher calling beyond the ego necessary for any human being that has spiritual aspirations. For me the main spiritual focus has been Buddhism, complemented by modern psychology. For example although attachment is a central tenet in Buddhism, there is no such equivalent as Bowlby's attachment theory which is so important in dealing with trauma and relationship patterns. As a Russian poet says: Whom shall I call on? Who will share with me The wretched happiness of being alive? Some keywords (they should mean the world to you if you are thinking of contacting me): spirituality, empathy, compassion, non-violence deep, lasting emotions (especially vs short-lived infatuation) Finally, "I love slow, slow but deep, feigned affections wash over me". Looking For: Love, friendship, creativity. These are the most important things for me. Love is the power that keeps the stars moving and our hearts beating; friendship is perhaps the most objective and enduring bond - "a single soul dwelling in two bodies" as Aristotle says; and creativity is the embodiment of love in the material world. Please, no addicts (cigarettes, alcohol, food, sex, whatever) and no narcissists. The human body is such a precious commodity, treat it with respect and love. If you do not love yourself, how can you expect others to love you?
